Who is Franklin Ngoforo?
I started my Property development business, way before I actually built my first property. I did not have the money for it, so I had to build it in my mind. Once I did that, it became easier to see and capitalize on the opportunities to build an actual property.
Changing the Political Narrative
Fighting for What You Believe in Most
Growing up, I saw the daily pain and challenges faced by my people, not from the sidelines, as I too was a part of it. Right there in the thick of things, my upbringing narrates no different from any other Nigerian raised in a village. Lack of social development initiatives, infrastructure and basic needs such as education, health services were, and still is, the order of the day. No one wanted to identify with us, as we were considered villagers. Getting a basic education was an uphill and self-funded exercise. Whenever I sit and considered the odds that were against us, I understand why some say that living and succeeding in Nigeria should be listed on your Curriculum Vitae as a skill. As it takes an above average human will and tenacity to break through the barriers that exist in our country. This had to change, however change would not be possible, if I decided to sit, as an observer hoping and wishing that the improvement and opportunities would come. At an early age I knew and understood that order to affect any meaningful change, I would first have to change my own story by taking accountability for my own future. I realized I first had to make the necessary changes in myself before I could really impact my own community, my people and my country in the way that I believe mattered. I believe the root cause to the dilemma of our country has been a perpetual vacuum that exist in ethical and accountable leadership. Filling these ethical and accountability vacuums, largely depended on leadership which must lead by example. Exemplary leaders that not only relate to the plight of its people but recognize the responsibility of their position in creating a political, economic and social environment in which our people could thrive. It was this believe that ignited my desire and finally my entry into the political arena.
The rise of a business Mogul
They say that “Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t”. Thus in business and in your life, you need to understand the future value or cost of the decision that you have made or are currently making.

The Franklin Ngoforo Foundation
The Franklin Ngoforo Foundation was founded and formed in response to the challenge of achieving sustainable economic and social development within our region and country. As this is beyond any single organisation or government. Our goal is to alleviate poverty and to improve the living standards of our people, through sustainable improvement programs investment and strategic partnerships with both the private and public sector, both locally and continentally. Mainly targeted at the youth, unemployed, women and marginalized communities.
We believe that….
- The youth represent the next generation of leaders and drivers of innovation and economic progress. This believe is at the core of our investment in globally relevant areas such as, agriculture, science, technology, engineering and mathemathics.
- That encouraging youths to channel their creativity and energy into constructive activities, such as sports, the arts and culture. This forms an integral part in developing the youth, as it helps build discipline, confidence and character, thereby preparing them to meet with the challenges of competitive world.
That gender equality is still far from satisfactory, not only within Nigeria but Africa as a continent. Women are still mostly marginalized and oppressed. Adopting a gender equal society model has conclusively shown to stimulate economic growth, which is crucial for developing countries. There is an old saying that says “if you educate a man, you educate an individual but if you educate a woman, you educate a nation”.I started my Property development business, way before I actually built my first property.
